As many of you may already be aware, PCLinuxOS is based on Mandriva. Recently, I discovered that I was unable to install certain packages that were available on other distros. This is, in my opinion, due to the lack of community support. I apologize if that may seem harsh but I have been waiting for certain packages to become available and it seems as though adding them to the repositories is a slow process. I am sure there are many reasons for this, however, I have chosen to switch to Mandriva 2008 instead of using PCLinuxOS.

At this time, I am enjoying my new distro and hope that the community for PCLinuxOS will continue to expand but at this time I feel Mandriva has the support I need. Your suggestions and opinions are welcome.

I am trying to find out how I would go about getting this new badge printed so I could stick it on my PC.  Someone was selling these badges but now I cannot find them anywhere.  This one I created on my own.

I saw today that a lot of people are searching the internet on how to recover a lost root password. This should be considered a sin. Losing the root password, I mean.
